Don't Fight the Healing Process

The nutritional products you have decided to take will have a detoxifying effect on the body. You may, therefore, experience some uncomfortable symptoms. These are known as healing reaction.

The most common symptom individuals report is a temporary reduction of energy. You may also find yourself sleeping longer. Some people report aches and pains in various parts of the body, headaches, gas, constipation, diarrhoea or other complaints.

These symptoms may occur because the body is ridding itself of the substances that have been making it toxic – not only the materials that have accumulated in the colon, but also the antibodies and toxins that have built up in individual cells, interfering with their normal function. As these substances are ejected out of the tissues, they are dumped into the system making the body temporarily more toxic until they can be excreted.

This can be minimised by following some simple guidelines. The most important is to drink six to eight large glasses of water every day. This will help flush out the toxins. It is also helpful to eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. These are easier for the body to digest, leaving more energy for the healing process. If possible, have plenty of rest and fresh air.

Even though a person may experience these symptoms, they should be a welcoming sign that the healing process is well on the way and that toxins are being removed from the body. If the symptoms are uncomfortable dosages can be reduced to slow the process down. As toxins are stored in the fat, a reduction in body fat and weight loss will release toxins into the blood stream and some symptoms may occur.

Many people have no symptoms what so ever and these are generally people who drink the amount of water recommended. If possible drink filtered water, as fluoride and chlorine are toxic.
